Almarai Booth: Quiz, Rating Form and Reports for a Conference Sponsor
For Almarai's booth at the Saudi Neonatology Society Conference 2026, we built a tablet quiz that sends each doctor to one of three booth zones, a QR rating form, and a reports panel with Excel export.

The Challenge
Almarai was the official sponsor of the 24th Annual Saudi Neonatology Society Conference 2026 in Riyadh. Their booth had three zones. Each zone presented their infant and clinical nutrition range (Nuralac, Evolac, SureNutri, SureGrow) at a different depth. They needed a quick way to read each doctor’s level and send them to the right zone, and a way for visitors to rate the visit.
As the official sponsor, the screens had to look premium, not like a standard exhibitor booth.
What We Built
Three tools that work together: a tablet quiz inside the booth, a rating form visitors open on their own phone from a QR code, and a reports panel for the team.
The Booth Quiz
Three questions, three answers each, worth 0 to 2 points. The start screen invites the doctor to find their nutrition zone.

The questions ask about awareness of the range, confidence in the science behind the formulas (DHA, GOS, HMO, hydrolyzed protein), and whether they would recommend a locally made formula to a colleague. Each question slides in and the answers rise one after another. The stage keeps a fixed size, so nothing jumps between questions. The progress bar is the Almarai leaf fan, and each question fills one leaf.

The quiz also runs on a tablet in portrait, with a full screen button for the booth.

Sending Doctors to a Zone
The score out of 6 picks the zone: 5 to 6 goes to Zone A, 2 to 4 to Zone B, 0 to 1 to Zone C. The result shows in large type with the zone’s message. The screen resets on its own after 45 seconds, so it is ready for the next visitor.

The Rating Form
Visitors scan a QR code and rate three things with stars: the overall experience, the value of the information, and the interaction with the Almarai team. Then name, institution, city and mobile. Every field is required. Name, institution and city take letters only. Mobile has a fixed +966 prefix and accepts only the Saudi 5XXXXXXXX format. Validation runs on the phone and on the server, and the thank-you screen shows only after the rating is saved.

The Reports Panel
A password-protected panel shows the data during the conference: plays, average score, how visitors split across the zones, and the visitor ratings. The screens below use test data.

The quiz report shows the score spread, a panel per question with the count for each answer, plays by hour in Riyadh time, and the full log. Every report exports to Excel or CSV.

The Design
The background comes from the blue gradient on Almarai’s printed bag for the conference, set in the Almarai typeface and the brand guideline colors. The three product logos appear in their original colors with the “Almarai Subsidiary” mark below them, following the rules from Almarai corporate.
Tech Stack
The frontend is plain HTML, CSS and jQuery with no framework. It fits any tablet or phone size, in portrait and landscape, with a full screen button for the tablet. The server is Node.js and Express and stores data in files, with no database engine. Report charts are SVG built on the server, so they look the same offline and in print.
