HS Clinical Academy: Live Audience Polling for Doctors in KSA and Kuwait
For NewBridge Pharmaceuticals' HS Clinical Academy meetings, we built QR polling that doctors answer on their phones, with live results on the room screen, a before and after knowledge shift, speaker control, and PDF and CSV reports.

The Challenge
NewBridge Pharmaceuticals held two HS Clinical Academy meetings for doctors: KSA on 18 September 2026 and Kuwait on 19 September 2026. The speaker wanted to ask the room questions during the talk and show the answers on screen in the moment. No app, no login, and all of it on conference wifi.
What We Built
Each question has its own QR code and its own results link. The speaker shows the question’s QR on the slide, doctors scan it and answer on their phones, and the results screen fills in live. 13 questions: 7 for KSA and 6 for Kuwait. Each one stands alone, so the speaker can show them in any order.
The Doctor’s Screen
Doctors tap every answer that applies. Each tap saves the whole selection, so there is no Send button to forget. The 1 to 5 rating questions take one answer.

Live Results on the Room Screen
The results screen refreshes every 2 seconds. Percentages are a share of doctors, not of taps, because “70% of the room said Pain” is the sentence a clinician wants. The screens and loops below use test data.

Measuring the Knowledge Shift
The same question is asked before and after the talk. The second screen shows the before and after averages and the change. It counts only doctors who answered both, because an unpaired answer would move the average without being a real shift.

Speaker Control
A password-protected panel to show results, close voting, and start a fresh round after the test run, plus a printable QR sheet. Questions are open by default, so a speaker on stage is never blocked by a switch nobody clicked.

Reports
A report per country shows every answer, which options were picked together, how many options each doctor picked, and who answered first. The same page prints as a PDF, and the data exports to CSV with one row per picked answer.

The Details That Matter
Each phone holds a random device id, so a refresh, the back button or scanning the code twice does not count as a second vote. The report flags answers that share a network and browser, but never blocks them, because the whole room shares one public IP.
The screens load nothing from outside the server. Even the Poppins font ships inside the app, so a blocked CDN on conference wifi cannot end the session. Colours and logos come from the approved artwork, and the logos are vector so they stay sharp on a projector.
We also built a PowerPoint deck for each country, one slide per question with its QR code and a “Show results” button that opens the live results screen. The decks are built from the same question file as the screens, so the two cannot drift apart.
